Through members of the Executive Council, the IDHEE has reciprocal relationships and works closely with the following organisations involved with central heating and the environment.

Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers – CIBSE
CIBSE promotes the career of building services engineers by accrediting courses of study in further and higher education, by approving workbased training programmes and providing routes to full professional Registration and Membership, including Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer and Engineering Technician.

Domestic Building Services Panel
Panel members meet twice a year at the CIBSE headquarters to discuss issues and changes relating to domestic building services. When industry standards change the panel members review the impact on the industry and find the best way of providing impartial guidance for the heating design engineer. Each panel member has their own specialist and expert subject knowledge.

Ground Source Heat Pump Association
The Ground Source Heat Pump Association (GSHPA) was formed in June 2006 to serve as the focal point for organisations with business interests in Ground Source Energy.

The Heating & Hotwater Industry Council (H.H.I.C.)
An organisation supported by manufacturers and fuel suppliers. The web site provides information about central heating systems. H.H.I.C. manages the BenchmarkTM Heating System Log Book initiative.
